In my community, it's been more quiet than usual, with the exception of the ambulance noise on Cross Bay Blvd I hear from time to time. Living near JFK Airport, I don't hear airplanes flying by every few minutes anymore. As I look outside my home, I see the local Q11 bus passing by, with almost no one inside except the driver, who usually dons a mask. I also see joggers, those walking their dog, and the occasional family walking on a sunny day. Recently, I saw a line of cars honking through the streets and displaying \"We miss you\" signs, which I recognized as teachers from the local school. A nice display of spirit during these times. As for my loved ones, I have a grandmother in nursing home that I haven't gotten a chance to see in over a month, so there's a sense of worry and fear. As for me, I've been continuing distance learning on the computer for almost a month now. I've utilized video communication apps like Zoom, but it doesn't beat face-to-face communication, at least for me, which I long to get back to.
