Ms. Ciulla-Frisone spent most of her life in Ozone Park, Queens with a large family. She works for the Department of Transportation in the Community Affairs Division, which was her motivation for being involved in community services. She was  a Queens General Assembly member, selected by Borough President to represent Queens Community Board 10.  In this interview, she shares her experiences and memories from her neighborhood. She talks about attending different festivals and tasting different foods, to embrace all the cultures and ethnicities of Queens. She also discusses her engagement with the Queens Festival of Light, Sons of Italy and how she arranged a trip to Howard Beach with the General Assembly members to familiarize them to the community. This interview took place in the Queens Borough President Helen Marshall's Conference Room, located in Kew Gardens, Queens, in 2013. This interview was part of the Queens Borough President Helen Marshall's Queens General Assembly documentation project at the end of President Marshall's final term in 2013. The purpose of these interviews was to document both the work of the General Assembly and lives of Assembly members. They are civic leaders with strong ties to their communities. This interview was recorded with a break in the middle.
