A number of organizations eventually endorsed the campaign.\u003cspan\u003e  \u003c/span\u003eThe Center's name was changed from the Lesbian and Gay Community Services Center, to the LGBT Community Center of NYC, which was a big deal. Some other prominent name changes included the New York LGBT Film Festival and the LGBT Pride March and Rally.
