Sonera shares memories of her teachers and best friends at St. Stanislaus Kostka, playing on the school's basketball team, and being at school during the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001. Sonera also shares memories of visiting neighborhood parks (particularly Reiff Park and Frank Principe Park on Maurice Avenue), attending a day camp in Maspeth during summers, and taking trips to Rockaway Beach and Jones Beach with her mother.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eSonera, who moved to Englewood, New Jersey at the age of 11 years old, explains that Maspeth was a much more close-knit and sociable community than Englewood.
